WELCOME

You've just made the
best creative investment for your business.

1. PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Now that you’re booked in my schedule, we’ll stop relying solely on email to have our conversation and we’ll start using your Client Lounge.

At the top of this web page, next to the search bar, you'll notice a menu option "Client Lounge".  This is your where your project will live for the duration of our time working together. It is a secure space online where we have conversations, share files, set reminders, and create to-do lists.  You'll have the ability to track my progress and see where I am on the project at any time once logged in.

Whereas files often get lost when I’m managing projects through email, nothing gets lost or forgotten in your Lounge. It’s the simplest way to keep your project organized and make sure it goes as smoothly as possible!

Your Client Lounge was included in your package for your ease and convenience.  Don’t worry – it’s not hard to use. Watch this video I've prepared to see a 2-minute tutorial on how to use it!  You should be receiving an invitation via email shortly containing your login details to access your Client Lounge.

Let's Get Started

2. COMMUNICATION GUIDELINES

Communication hours are: Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 12:30pm

Meeting Days are: Tuesdays & Thursdays at 11:00am - 2:00pm

To help keep your project on track to finish on time, please provide all feedback within 2 business days of hearing from me.

I really appreciate your effort to provide files and feedback on time and to communicate within the times and days outlined above. Observed timeliness from both of us will help us get your project done on (or even before!) the deadline, so you can move on to the next exciting task on your to-do list and I can cheer you on.

3. MY PROCESS

Here's an outline of what to anticipate as we work together:

003-telephone.png

Consultation:

Every great project starts with a thorough consultation.  Now that you're all booked in, I'll be sending you my calendar for you to select the best time for us to have another chat.

Unlike our Discovery Call, your Project Consultation will be more probing and deep.  This is where we uncover the heart and driving forces behind your project.  It will last roughly one hour.

Research:

After your Project Consultation, I'll leave you alone to conduct some research to further arm myself to deliver your dream results.

I may touch bases with you during this time if any questions have arisen, but for the most part, you'll be undisturbed while I work in the background.

Sketches:

Then it's time for some preliminary mockups and rough sketches.  These are the bare bones of your project and are aesthetically unrefined.

Usually I do not share this preliminary rough work, but it is used as a guide to assist me in developing the finished product.

Presentation:

Once I've worked over the rough sketches and I'm satisfied that I have refined them well enough.

It is time for me to present them to you.  Depending on the package you selected, the depth and detail of this presentation will vary.

Review:

After this, I await your feedback and approval.  The ball is completely in your court at this point (no pressure).

I've listed a few Feedback Guidelines to help you, in Section 4.

Hand Over:

Once you have reviewed the submissions and are satisfied, it's time to wind down to the closing of the project.

In this stage we wrap up any outstanding payments, final files are submitted, and it is now time for you to introduce your project to the world!

4. FEEDBACK GUIDELINES

I really appreciate simple and straightforward feedback. It helps me clearly understand your thoughts and make the right changes to your project.

Here are a few tips on providing awesome feedback:

  • Try using bullet points to break up your feedback.

  • Use headers to organize your feedback.

  • Read over your feedback to make sure it’s clear and check that you’ve answered any questions I may have asked.

  • Post your feedback as a comment or reply to the relevant Client Lounge discussion instead of emailing me directly. Back and forth emails can get tiring but communicating in the Lounge is a breeze!

  • If you have team members that would like to add their feedback, I kindly ask that you gather the feedback into one message. This stops everyone from getting confused and keeps the project organized.

  • Keep your ideal target audience in mind to avoid getting caught up in personal preferences.

5. PAYMENT GUIDELINES

[IF YOU'VE PAID IN FULL FOR YOUR PROJECT PLEASE DISREGARD THESE PAYMENT GUIDELINES]

A 50% down-payment is due the day before we start your project, and the remaining 50% is due when the project is complete but before I hand over your final files.

As outlined in my contract, if your second 50% payment is late, I can put your project on hold. We can restart the project at a later date but a Rescheduling Fee will be charged.

Your final payment is due the day before delivery of your final workable files..

6. TOOLS WE'LL USE

Molli Black O.png

YOUR LOUNGE

Your lounge is where we will keep track of all conversations, tasks and deadlines.  As well as where you will find all your invoices, contract and questionnaires you fill out during the project.

GOOGLE MEET

We’ll use Google Meet for all our consultation calls. Meet is great because it allows us to see each other (almost like a real coffee date!) and I can share my screen to take you through presentations for easy live feedback.

DROPBOX

I use DropBox to store all my project files. At the end of the project, I’ll send you a link to download your files and store them in a safe place as the link is only available for 30 days after your project ends.

7. FAQs

Who owns the final design?

As is industry standard, I retain ownership of the designs and reserve the right to use them in my portfolios (which is totally normal). As the client, you will have exclusive, unlimited use and reproduction license on the designs I create for you. This means that YES, you own your work and you can do whatever you would like to do with the files.

Will you send me the fonts you used?

For Brand Blueprint clients, yes.  Fonts are available upon request.  However for all other projects, no. I own the licenses to the font files I use in your project. However, if you’d like to purchase these fonts, just let me know and I can get that sorted for you!

Will my project be posted in your public portfolio?

According to the terms of our contract, yes.  However if for reasonable cause, you do not want your work displayed on my website, we can discuss further and sign an Non-Disclosure Agreement.

Will you send me the editable design files?

These files are not included in the project. But if you do want them, let me know and I’ll create a separate invoice for the cost of these files.
